-Nick Pooler

North Carolina went into Wednesday nights contest confident to pick up the non-conference win and improve their record before heading into ACC play. But the Terriers had other plans. Fletcher Magee had 27 points and Cameron Jackson had 18 points, 9 rebounds to lead Wofford to their big win. Wofford had a one-point advantage at halftime ad kept their lead strong. Luke Maye attempted a game-tying three pointer as time dwindled down and it clanked off the rim. Wofford got the rebound and secured the game with great shooting at the free throw line.

Joel Berry lead the way for the Tar Heels with 23 points while Luke Maye added 17 points and 14 rebounds. North Carolina looks to bounce back as their next game is at home on Saturday as they host Ohio State. Wofford will attempt to stay on the hot hand as they go on the road Saturday night to take on North Carolina-Greensboro who are one of their top competitors in the Southern conference.
