Zach Britton is the newest New York Yankee. He now adds to that very scary bullpen in the Bronx that consists of Aroldis Chapman, David Robertson and Dellin Betances. Adding Britton to this will stabilize all problems the Yankees have with giving up leads.
Britton is 1-0 with a 3.45 ERA through 16 games this season. During his career, he has an ERA of 3.22 with 139 saves and 425 strikeouts through 516.2 innings. He will for sure help boost this Yankees team to get over the hump and lock down that wild card spot. Also, potentially push the Red Sox for the division.
The Yankees sent over 3 minor league pitching prospects in exchange. Dillon Tate, Josh Rogers and Cody Carroll. One thing is certain, the Orioles farm system is going to be stacked. After trading Manny Machado last week to the Dodgers for five prospects, and trading Britton for three, the Orioles look to keep making moves. Brad Brach, Jonathan Schoop, Adam Jones and Kevin Gausman are among the names being talked about. If all works out, Orioles fans should be very excited for years to come.
