“Hello friends” it’s that time of year again to dust of the clubs and get excited because it’s the tradition unlike any other. Welcome to Masters week! The field is set and the players are ready, stars of this years master include big names such as Tiger Woods, Jordan Spieth, Dustin Johnson, Rickie Fowler and Rory McIlroy. Defending champion Patrick Reed looks to defend his title at Augusta.

This years Masters is looking to be one of the best. Tiger is back in the hunt after winning the Tour Championship at the end of last season, and defeating McIlroy in the process 3&2 at the dell match play championship two weeks ago. McIlroy is on a hot streak (minus losing to Tiger) and is looking to be the favorite to win this week with 8/1 odds according to Vegas Insider. McIlroy is coming off a win at the Players’ Championship and a runner up at the WGC-Mexico. McIlroy has six top 10 finishes this season. He is just really playing good golf. Spieth is looking to get back to his winning ways at Augusta after having a winless year in 2018 and the same through the start of the 2019 season. But never count Spieth out at Augusta, with a 16/1 chance to win, the 2015 champion has gone 2nd, 1st, 2nd, 11th and 3rd all time at the masters. Last year Spieth chased after the leader with a final round 64. Which was one shot off the course record of 63, his only stumble was on hole 18 with a bogey. The kid without a major and who is most due for his first major is Rickie Fowler. With 15/1 odds this years his best odds to date at Augusta. The last five years at the Masters for Fowler has shown four top 15 finishes, along with a runner up finish last year posting 65 and 67 on the weekend, and missing the cut in 2016. The last player to watch is Brooks Koepka. After winning two majors last year, one defending his title at the U.S Open and the other winning the PGA just a few months later, don’t be surprised if you see this man at or near the top of the leaderboard.

Today is the last day to get yourself ready for the next four days. But today is family day..the par three contest a fun day to calm some of the nerves and have some fun. No player has won the par 3 contest and the Masters in the same year. But you never know this could be the year. But today I want to see some hole in ones by the players and maybe another caddie, lets see if Jack’s grandson can do it again! I want everyone to be safe don’t hurt yourself this year (Tony Finau)!!!!
