Barron Musgrove Jr. and Felix Neely Compete Internationally

The Junior Caribbean Cycling Championships took place in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, where two Bahamian cyclists participated for the first time in two years due to the pandemic.

Barron Musgrove Jr. finished 11th in the pre-juvenile 10-kilometer Individual Timed Trials, while Felix Neely finished 11th in the juvenile 20-kilometer race.

The host nation dominated the medal standings, while Puerto Rico finished second, and Bermuda and Aruba tied for third. The Bahamian team, coached by Barron Musgrove Sr., faced challenges in training due to COVID-19, but they are looking forward to what the future holds for Bahamian cycling.

They have several promising young cyclists under the age of 15, who they believe will form the next generation of Bahamian cyclists and represent the country well on the international stage.
