Local Cricket Action Resumes with T20 Tournament Wins

The Bahamas Cricket Association (BCA) has resumed local league action with the Nations League TwentyTwenty (T20) tournament at Haynes Oval. In the matches played over the weekend, the World team won against Asia by four runs, while The Bahamas dominated Jamaica with an eight-wicket victory.

In their match against Asia, the World team won the toss and chose to bat. Kevin Surujlal scored 84 runs, leading his team to amass 226 runs. Asia’s Sandeep Goud scored a whopping 130 runs, but his teammates could not follow suit, and the team was all out for 222 runs.

The Bahamas played Jamaica in a match that was reduced to 12 overs. Jamaica scored 104 runs, while The Bahamas chased it down, losing only two wickets. Marc Taylor and Johnathan Barry had a partnership of 54 runs, and Everette Haven scored eight to lead The Bahamas to victory.

The tournament continues this weekend with the Lions playing the Pacesetters on Saturday, and St. Agnes taking on the Police on Sunday. The Bahamas and World teams are 1-1 and 1-2, respectively, while Asia and Jamaica have 1-3 and 1-2 records.
