Felix Neely Competes in Caribbean Under-23 Cycling Championships

Felix Neely, a Bahamian cyclist, recently competed in the Caribbean Under-23 Cycling Championships in the Dominican Republic. Although he was the only competitor representing his country, he felt confident and performed well, finishing 10th in the time trials and 46th in the road race.

Neely hopes to inspire other local cyclists to participate in international competitions, and the federation secretary general, Barron Musgrove, plans to expose more young cyclists to these events. The goal is to have representation at the Olympics by 2028, with Neely potentially leading the team.

Musgrove expressed his excitement about Neely’s progress and hopes to develop a four-to-five-man team in the future that can compete as a unit. Overall, Neely’s performance was seen as a success, and the federation is looking forward to his continued growth as a cyclist.
