Golfers Raise Close to $100K for Cancer Charity

Andrew Bell and Marcus Farrington won the Cancer Society of the Bahamas charity golf tournament at the Royal Blue Golf Course in Baha Mar, raising almost $100,000 for the charity.

They scored a net score of 53.10 in the two-man scramble, with David Bethel and Aiden Gorospe finishing second with 49.50 and Billy Holowesko and Madison Carroll coming third with 48.70.

The event featured 104 golfers, with Sue Roberts of the Cancer Society of the Bahamas expressing her appreciation of the event for raising funds for a good cause. Committee member Gina Gonzalez-Rolle said that plans are already being made for next year’s event.
