Carisma Taylor, a Bahamian track and field athlete, set a new national record in the triple jump event at a recent meet. She won the event with a leap of 46 feet, 00.75 inches, replacing the previous mark of 13.60m set in 2018. Taylor also finished second in the women’s 60m hurdles event.
She expressed satisfaction with her performance but stated that there is more she can give, and credited her success to meditation and spending more time in the word. Taylor’s impressive performance at the meet has marked her as one of the top contenders in the upcoming Southeastern Conference Championships and NCAA Indoor Nationals.
Taylor is known for her hard work and dedication. She is now placed her in the Bahamian record books as one of the country’s top track and field athletes.
