Mingoes Track and Field Program Shines at St. Thomas University Meet

The University of The Bahamas’ Mingoes track and field program performed well at the St. Thomas University Bobcats’ season opening outdoor meet in Miami Gardens, Florida. The team won the men’s 4x400m relay event and earned four second-place finishes and one third-place finish in the collegiate meet. The winning relay team was composed of Dennis Williamson, Donya Roberts, Jackson Ozias, and Lhevinne Joseph. Brianique Strachan had a strong international season opener with two second-place finishes in the women’s 100m and 200m events. Head Coach Ednal Rolle was pleased with the team’s performance, particularly since he has a new team with nine freshmen. The team’s next event is currently unknown.
