Bahamas qualifies for 2023 CAC Games softball tournament

The Bahamas men’s national softball team has qualified for the 2023 Central American and Caribbean Games in San Salvador, El Salvador.

The team won the English-speaking Amateur Softball Confederation (ECASC) title in 2015, which was the automatic qualifier for the games.

The ECASC men’s championship, which was set to determine the qualifier for the CAC Games, has been postponed due to the absence of a host country. The development of softball in the region is linked to the progression and advancement of the sport in ECASC. Plans to certify umpires regionally and train officials in The Bahamas have been discussed. The CAC Games will feature thousands of athletes from 37 nations across the CAC region competing in various sporting disciplines. The event is scheduled to take place from June 23 to July 8, 2023, in San Salvador, El Salvador.
