Jasrado “Jazz” Chisholm Jr. Shows Promise in MLB Spring Training After Injury

It’s great to hear that Jasrado “Jazz” Chisholm Jr. is back to full strength or close to it after his back injury last season. Chisholm’s had a multi-hit game with a towering home run, which shows that he is ready for the upcoming season.

Despite the Marlins’ one win against eight losses in Spring Training, Chisholm’s return is expected to bring a spark to the team. He suffered a stress fracture in his lower back last season, which resulted in him not being able to play.
He was the first Bahamian player to be voted into the all-star game as a starter, but due to his injury he was not eligible to play.

This season, Chisholm will play the centerfield instead of the infield. This is a big move but nonetheless he is excited. Chisholm has speed so his team is expecting him to cover a lot of ground in centerfield.

Chisholm was a starter at second base in 2022, but after the Marlins acquired Luis Arraez from the Minnesota Twins, they decided to experiment with Chisholm in center field.

Before Chrisholm injury he had a average of .254, 14 home runs, 45 RBIs, and 39 runs scored in 60 games. He also had 12 stolen bases, an on-base percentage of .325, and an on-base plus slugging percentage of .860.

With the return of Chisholm, this will be a great boost for his team.
