Bahamas Junior Golf Championships crown new champions

The Bahamas Golf Federation recently held its National Junior Championships at the Ocean Club Golf Course on Paradise Island, with players from New Providence, Exuma, and Grand Bahama competing. In the 18-and-under boys division, Alex Dupuch took first place, finishing 14 strokes over par 158, just one stroke ahead of Aidan Gorospe. Adrian Stan-Busuioc finished third. In the 18-and-under girls division, Tyesha Tynes won on a countback after tying with Miljojka Gojkovic at 50-over-par 194. Mia Underwood took third place. Jackson Mactaggart won the 15-and-under division, with Kerrington Rolle in second and Camdyn Forbes in third.

Swimmer Seannae Norville-Smith dominated the 15-and-under girls division, finishing 14 strokes ahead of second-place finisher Taylor Sands. Jolene Stan-Busuioc came in third. In the 13-and-under boys division, Denahj Mortimer took first place with Rashawn Hanna finishing just one stroke behind. William West finished in third place. Lilly Bisterzo won the 13-and-under girls division, with Haley Hall taking second and Maddisson Carroll coming in third.

The federation will send a 14-member team to the Caribbean Amateur Junior Golf Championships in July.
