#11 Veronaye ‘Tweedy’ Charlton is a 17-year-old basketball player from the Bahamas who left her home country to play high school basketball in the United States. Despite the difficulty of making such a transition, Charlton has excelled at the sport and led her team, the Norcross High School Lady Blue Devils, to the Georgia Class 7A Championships.

Charlton, who is known for her speed and agility on the court, has had an impressive senior year, scoring 18 and 19 points in two key games to help her team reach the state final. Although she misses her family and home in the Bahamas, Charlton is determined to continue her education with an athletic scholarship at college after graduating from Norcross. She hopes to lead her team to victory in the state championship before making any further decisions about her future.
