Buddy Hield and Kai Jones Face Off in Charlotte Hornets vs Indiana Pacers Game

Bahamian NBA players Chavano “Buddy” Hield and Kai Jones recently faced each other on opposite teams in a game between the Charlotte Hornets and the Indiana Pacers. Jones scored two points and grabbed three rebounds in 16 minutes of play, while Hield tied a team-high 20 points in the loss, making 7 of 17 field goals, including 4 of 12 three-pointers. Despite Hield’s efforts, the Pacers lost the game 115-109.

Hield leads the league and made three-pointers with 265 and is on pace to break his own single-season record of 282 in three-pointers. If he continues he may even pass 300 made three-pointers. A feat accomplished only by Stephen Curry and James Harden in NBA history.

Jones has been playing more minutes on the court and has scored double digits in minutes during his last five games, scoring a career-high 10 points in his last outing. The Hornets have been eliminated from playoffs, but Jones may continue to get more playing time in their remaining nine games. The Pacers still have a chance to make the play-in tournament as they currently sit in 12th position with a 32-40 win/loss record. Their next game is against the Toronto Raptors in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, while the Hornets will play the New Orleans Pelicans at the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans, Louisiana.
