Bahamas Flag Football League returns for 13th Season.

After a two-year break due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Bahamas Flag Football League (BFFL) is set to begin its 13th season on March 27th. Eleven teams will compete, with the Predators defending their men’s title and the Wildcats defending their women’s title from 2019.

The league has seen growth since its inception, including expansion into women’s and youth flag football, with over 200 youth participants last year.

President Bianca Lee expressed excitement for the return of the league, highlighting the implementation of international rules on the women’s side to increase the physical aspect of the game.

COVID protocols will be enforced for the safety of players and fans, with vaccination or a negative rapid antigen test required for entry. Lee believes the league’s love for flag football will attract more participants and lead to future expansion and increased competition.
