Sandilands Primary has been crowned champions of the boys and girls volleyball tournament organized by the Public Primary Schools Sports Association.

Stephen Dillet won the boys’ title by defeating Sybil Strachan Primary in a thrilling match, while Sandilands Primary beat Cleveland Eneas Primary in two straight sets to win the girls’ title.

Coaches of losing teams, Greer Thompson and Mariska Thompson, felt their teams lacked focus in crucial moments of the games. Centreville Primary finished third in the tournament, while Garvin Tynes won the consolation third place game. The tournament featured several elimination and quarterfinal games and was organized by the New Providence Volleyball Association.

The next event in the association’s calendar is the track and field meet from April 26-28 at the Thomas A Robinson Stadium.
