Bahamian baseball player Jazz Chisholm Jr. signed with Jordan Brand, owned by basketball legend Michael Jordan. Chisholm belongs to a small group of Major League Baseball players who have signed with Jordan Brand, and he’s the second person from the Bahamas to have done so.
The announcement was made before the Miami Marlins played against the New York Mets on MLB Opening Day. Chisholm was also featured as the cover athlete for the recently released ‘MLB The Show 23’ video game. Chisholm met Jordan at an event and asked for his autograph.
Jordan challenged Chisholm to become so successful that he’d want Chisholm’s autograph someday. Last season, Chisholm played 60 games, hitting 14 home runs and driving in 45 runs while scoring 39.
He was chosen for the MLB All-Star game, but he missed the opportunity to play due to his injury.
