YES Giants Claim Victory in NPBA Finals

The Commonwealth Bank (CB) Giants and Your Essential Store (YES) Giants are the 2023 champions of the New Providence Basketball Association (NPBA) division one and two respectively. The CB Giants won the three-game series against the Discount Distributors Liquors Rockets 92-78, avenging their previous year’s loss. Perry Thompson, the CB Giants’ head coach, credited his team’s next-man-up mentality and hustle, which led to their victory.

Dylan Musgrove scored 26 points in the final game, complemented by Eugene Bain and Lerecus Armbrister. The Giants blitzed the Rockets 38-20 on the fast break, capitalizing on turnovers to score 23 points to the Rockets’ 9. The YES Giants won the division two series 3-1 against the Produce Express Rockets. Brandon Strachan led the YES Giants with 23 points, while Sirmar Rolle scored 18 points.

NPBA President James Price congratulated both teams and thanked the fans for their support.
