Michael Major Jr. Battles Through Tennis Tournament.

Michael Major Jr recently competed in the J60 Tacarigua tennis tournament in Trinidad & Tobago. In his second tournament, he had a grueling match against Lucas Castillo Sanchez from Colombia, winning over the number six seed in a 7-6 (15-13) tie breaker that lasted for one hour and 15 minutes. He then rallied from a 5-1 deficit to win another tie breaker 7-4 to secure the second set.

Major Jr had previously battled it out for three hours and 45 minutes against Omar Rhazili, winning the match 2-6, 6-4, 7-5, despite trailing 5-2 in the decisive third set. Despite his physical exhaustion, Major Jr stayed tough mentally and executed well.

Major Jr is preparing to enter college in August, a year ahead of his required six years of high school. He hopes to perform better than he did in his first tournament in Trinidad last week, where he won his first two matches and lost the third. He believes these tournaments are a good test of his ability and is prepared to go all the way.
