Bahamas dominates day one of CARIFTA Aquatics

The 2023 CARIFTA Aquatics Championships kicked off in Willemstad, Curacao, with Team Bahamas dominating the competition on the first day. The Bahamas’ swimmers had a spectacular performance, winning multiple gold medals and breaking records in the process.

One of the team standout performer was their young swimmer David Sighn, another gold medal for Team Bahamas at the CARIFTA Aquatics Championships in Curaçao. Singh won for the 11-12 boys 50 meter backstroke.

In addition to Singh outstanding performance, the Bahamian team also won gold in the 400 meter freestyle relay event, with their male swimmers finishing in first place.

The first day of the 2023 CARIFTA Aquatics Championships has set the tone for what promises to be an exciting competition. With Team Bahamas leading the pack, it will be interesting to see if they can maintain their dominance throughout the remainder of the event.
