Bahamian volleyball players have been in action at the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division II conference tournaments. Benedict College Tigers, featuring five Bahamians, ended their season with a win over Fort Valley State, taking the game 3-2.The Tigers ended their season with 11 wins and 7 losses, coming in third place in the SIAC rankings. Bahamians Ras Jesse Delancy, Donovan Wilmott, Terran Walkin, Clint Forbes, and Zion Beckford contributed significantly to the Tigers’ success.

The McKendree University Bearcats, led by Kyle Wilson, accomplished a historic feat in the Midwestern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association (MIVA) Tournament. Despite their poor season record of 6 wins and 15 losses, and a 10-game losing streak, they became the first number seven seed to win a game in the tournament. In their first match, they defeated the number two seed, Loyola University Chicago Ramblers. Wilson did really well in helping his team win. He scored 21 points and made it difficult for them to return the ball twice.
He also helped one of his teammates to score by passing them the ball.

The Bearcats will face Ohio State University Buckeyes in the MIVA semifinals on Wednesday at the Covelli Center in Columbus, Ohio.
