DeAndre Ayton shines as Suns defeat Clippers

DeAndre Ayton played a critical part in the Phoenix Suns’ 123-109 victory over the Los Angeles Clippers in the NBA playoffs. The Bahamian star scored 14 points and grabbed 13 rebounds with a 70% shooting percentage, helping his team secure the win. Devin Booker’s 38 points and Kevin Durant’s 25 points also contributed to the victory. Ayton’s 10 points and five rebounds in the second quarter were essential to the game’s outcome.

He prevented the Clippers from taking control of the game by going on a personal 8-0 scoring run and making a putback on his own missed dunk.

The Suns were losing 51-39, but they fought back and tied the game at 59 by halftime. Suns won by 14 points after taking a 92-87 lead in the third quarter. Ayton scored a layup giving Suns a 119-109 lead in the fourth.


The series now moves to Los Angeles, where the Suns and Clippers will compete for the lead in the third game.
