Bahamian baseball player Jazz Chisholm Jr. is making a strong comeback after a back injury last season. The Miami Marlins player hit a homer in a game against the San Francisco Giants, who also had a player from the Bahamas named Antoan Richardson.
The Marlins won the game 4-2. It was his second homer this season. Chisholm continued his good form in the next game, getting a hit in six at-bats, tying his personal record. The Marlins won the series two games to one. Chisholm is showing he can do many things in baseball. He hits well wherever he is put in the batting order.
He also showed he is athletic by making an amazing catch over his shoulder. Marlins manager Skip Schumaker praised Chisholm’s speed and agility.
The Marlins lost their latest game, but they’ve won 6 of their last 8 games. That puts them in a good spot in the National League East Division of Major League Baseball.
