Poitier Sisters Sweep Bahamas Golf Federation Championships

The Poitier Golf Home School dominated the Lower Primary Girls division of the Bahamas Golf Federation’s Junior Division’s National Schools Golf Championships.

Sisters Zaire and Zion Poitier claimed the top two positions individually, while Zeden Poitier rounded out the top five.

Reef Harvey, also competing as a Home School student, captured the title in the Lower Primary Boys category. Maximilien Demole, from King’s College, won the Upper Primary Boys division, while Tatyana Clarke of Queen’s College beat Kayleigh Rolle of The Meridian School in a playoff to win the Upper Primary Girls division.

Mario Bowleg, the Minister of Youth, Sports and Culture, encouraged the youngsters during the final day of competition and expressed his desire for more interaction between public and private schools in the various sporting disciplines.
