Bahamas Women’s Beach Soccer Team Shines Bright in Fort Lauderdale

The Bahamas Women’s National Beach Soccer team rocked the NBSL 2024 Fort Lauderdale Open! They kicked off with a bang against SCBS, clinching a tight 5-4 win. It was a team effort, with Karen Wert scoring two goals, and Taleah Thompson, Jada Thelamour, and Karina Almonor each scoring one.

Their second match against SEVWSA was a nail-biter, ending in a narrow 4-5 loss. Karen Wert showed her skill again with two more goals, and Jada Thelamour and Janeka Edey chipped in one each.

Things got tough in their third match against BSLA, a powerhouse team, resulting in a tough 0-9 loss. But our team kept their heads high.

In their final showdown against SEVWSA, they came back strong, sealing a thrilling 6-4 victory. Karen Wert continued her stellar performance with two more goals, and Janeka Edey, Alicia Telle, Rokesia Sands, and Jodei Clarke also made their mark on the scoreboard.

Overall, the Bahamas team put on an incredible display of talent and teamwork throughout the tournament. Let’s give them a huge round of applause for their amazing performance!
