What an epic showdown it was! The Anatol Rodgers Timberwolves came back roaring after a tough loss in the regular season, beating the defending champs CI Gibson Rattlers 63-55 in a thrilling game one of their best-of-three series.

Denykco Bowles, thrilled with the victory, praised his team’s hard work and execution, grateful for the win. Looking forward to game two, Bowles emphasized the need for the same intensity and fight till the end.

Leading the charge for Anatol Rodgers were Jefferson Bethel with 12 points, Kirkwood Rolle and Derek Francis with nine each, and Xavier Thompson and Marco Nottage with eight each. Cavelle Ferguson added six crucial points.

CI Gibson fought hard, with Tashon Butler scoring 19 points, Gerrad Rolle with 11, Dwayne Finley with seven, and Stevachko Jacques with five.

Anatol Rodgers dominated from the start, taking a 17-15 lead in the first quarter and extending it to 36-24 by halftime.

In the third quarter, both teams battled fiercely, but a buzzer-beating jumper from Ferguson gave Anatol Rodgers a 51-41 lead going into the final period.

CI Gibson tried to close the gap, but Anatol Rodgers held on strong. With Thompson’s driving layup and Finley’s free throws, Anatol Rodgers maintained a lead. Rolle’s fast break layup in the final seconds sealed the deal.
