CV Bethel Senior High School Girls’ Basketball’s Journey to Victory

The C.V. Bethel Senior High School girls’ basketball team conquered the GSSSA basketball tournament with flying colors! Their showdown against C.R. Walker Senior High School in the best-of-three series was nothing short of exhilarating.

In the first game, C.R. Walker stormed ahead with a 10-0 lead in the first quarter. But our resilient CVB team caught up, ending the game with a thrilling 38-34 victory in the fourth quarter.

The second game saw CVB taking charge early, leading 6-1 in the first quarter and maintaining their dominance with a 23-19 lead in the third quarter. As the game heated up in the fourth quarter, CVB held on tight with a 48-46 lead. Despite an intense battle, C.R. Walker edged out a narrow 58-56 win.

But CVB wasn’t about to let up in the final match! They came out strong, seizing a commanding 20-6 lead in the first quarter. By the third quarter, they were ahead by more than 15 points, leading 32-15. With an impressive 65-35 score in the fourth period, CVB frustrated CRW’s attempts to score, sealing their triumph with a resounding 67-45 victory.

What a performance! CVB played with all their heart and skill, leaving everything on the court. Let’s give them a huge round of applause for this incredible accomplishment!
