The Bahamas made a resounding statement in their FIBA AmeriCup 2025 Qualifiers debut, stunning the 16th-ranked Puerto Rican squad with an impressive 88-77 victory at the Coliseo Roberto Clemente in San Juan. The Bahamian team’s scorching start saw them establish a commanding 47-33 lead by halftime, eventually sealing a wire-to-wire triumph. This historic win marks their first-ever victory over Puerto Rico in senior men’s basketball, showcasing the remarkable progress and potential of the Bahamian squad.
