Bahamian Basketball Star Deyton Albury Shines at Queen’s University

Deyton Albury has been shining brightly since joining the Queen’s University of Charlotte men’s basketball team last year. He recently received the Atlantic Sun Conference (ASUN) Newcomer of the Year award, along with being named Third Team All-ASUN. Albury’s success has brought attention to Bahamian athletes, making him a role model for aspiring players back home.

Currently averaging 17.1 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 3.7 assists per game, Albury is ranked in the top 10 for scoring, assists, field goal percentage, and steals in the conference. Despite facing defensive adjustments in the postseason, he remains focused on leading his team to their first ASUN Championship.

In a recent game against Florida Gulf Coast Eagles, Albury contributed nine points, five rebounds, and three assists, demonstrating his resilience even when facing challenges. He remains determined to make history with the Royals by winning the ASUN Championship.
