The University of The Bahamas (UB) Mingoes track and field team showcased their talent at the St. Thomas University Elite Invitational in Miami Gardens, Florida, securing five second-place finishes and a third-place finish alongside numerous personal best performances.

Head Coach Ednal Rolle expressed his satisfaction with the team’s performance, noting that despite being a smaller team this year, their strength and quality were evident. Rolle emphasized the importance of building a strong track and field program at UB for the future.

Brianique Strachan stood out for the Mingoes with impressive showings, clinching second place in both the women’s 100 meters and 200 meters events. Strachan, reflecting on her performance, expressed her determination to enhance her finishes, particularly in the final stretch of the 200-meter race.
